God's compassion for the poor, widows and orphans
You can’t read the bible without recognizing how much compassion God has for the poor, for widows and orphans. He even promised that “Whoever has pity on the poor lends to the Lord and He will repay him for his good deeds”. In James, the bible says that “pure and unstained religion, according to God our Father, is to take care of widows and orphans when they suffer...
The bible also says that “to whom much is given, much will also be required.” We realize that we have been given much. We have been blessed in every conceivable way and as a result, we have a responsibility and a genuine desire to help the poor and needy.
So many good, caring people are more than willing to help. The problem is knowing where to give so that the money will actually get to the people it is intended to help, not pay a bunch of administrative costs. So, one of our passions as a ministry is to find those incredibly worthy causes, get involved and put the money directly into food, shelter, medicine and clothing and other specific projects that directly improve the lives of the very neediest of people.
