Just got back from walking through Kibera and spending some time with the wonderful Mama Kenya. We were overwhelmed by the love of her kids and the joy those little dumplings had. Watery porridge for lunch for the 100+ kids today packed in a small shanty for care and education... sometimes, if enough money, they get rice and/or beans. We stopped and talked with several people as we walked the muddy streets. Every person was so gratetful for aLn's coming and pouring out. Mama Kenya said the people were "mad with joy."
That's when it hit me, this wasn't your usual crusade. Testimonies and the attendance weren't record breaking for this team, but the entire city was touched by the joy that His presence carried. And I know that no matter how I am touched when I experience a touch from God I can't help but be changed. I just became overwhelmed by His goodness. So praise God for the transforming work His Spirit did this week! What a gift to be part of this team and watching them used by God to help usher in His Kingdom in - love, healing, peace, joy... Grateful to experience this time and these beautiful people.
